PROGRAM DESCRIPTIONS

GOALKEEPER TRAINING
Goalkeepers have one of the most critical jobs on the field, and yet many players don’t often find enough time to work on specific skills necessary for this position. Goalkeeper sessions won’t meet the week of Thanksgiving.

Advanced Goalkeeper Training
Every Monday / 5:30 - 7 pm

Open to all 2008-2002 players
Mike Rose Soccer Complex
Experienced keepers who are fully committed to the goalkeeper position work on goal kicks, catching, footwork, angle drills, crosses and high ball training, diving reaction times, and distribution training. These sessions also work on communication and mentally prepare keepers for games. If you are a beginner goalkeeper, the Elite Goalkeeper Training Session is a better match for your skill level.

Elite Goalkeeper Training
Every Wednesday and Thursday

Open to all 2013-2009 players / 5:30 - 6:30 pm
Open to all 2008-2002 players / 6:30 - 7:30 pm
Progress Park Field #4  / Collierville
Goalkeepers work on developing a foundation, this means learning how to be in a keeper ready position. Players work on ball catching and handling, footwork, shuffling, and diving. This session is open to all skill levels, including players who are interested in this position and want to explore their options.

S.P.A.R.Q.
Every Tuesday / 4:15 - 5:15 pm
Open to all 2008-2002 players
Mike Rose Soccer Complex
S.P.A.R.Q. stands for speed, power, agility, reaction, and quickness. Players work on these various athletic skills with and without a ball while focusing on physiological development. Players not only train to be faster but also reinforce proper movement patterns and efficiency.  This session won’t meet the week of Thanksgiving.

TOUCHES BEFORE TOUCHES
Every Wednesday / 4:30 - 5:30 pm

Olive Branch Soccer Complex / Desoto
Open to all ages.
Director led skills sessions that allow players to get additional touches on the ball outside of team practices.

FRIDAY FOURS

Friday, November 6 / 5:30 - 7 pm
Open to all ages
Progress Park Field #3 / Collierville
Supervised 4v4 that challenges players to express themselves and try new skills in a fun, game-like environment.
